Urges Is On it

I was doing some much needed filing and I found an old confirmation email from starting this blog. (Wednesday, March 25, 2009 3:34 PM)

OOPS!

So. What has happened to the Urge since our last episode? Well, my adorable little boppers, Urges has been keeping me busy as a hornet in a can of Mountain Dew! We have an official album out- Illegitimate Offspring, and another little bundle of EP joy on the way. The boys are pregnant with idea babies that are itchin’ to be mixed down and put on wax, which I think you guys are really going to enjoy.

Oh, and lets not forget that we have a big Memorial Day festival called: “Asylum” at Station 65, in Mora Minnesota. Once done with that, diddling this town is in order and a quick tour of a load of College towns in the Midwest in September. So keep an eye peeled- The Urge is spreading and your town might be next.

Succumb to the Urge.

Drunkabilly…

Welcome to the Urges From Elsewhere blog!

A Twin Cities based rag tag bunch of facemelters they give meaning to their own term “Drunkabilly” Influences are all over the charts with Grindhouse marches, surf punk anthems, and proto and post insert genre here.

All made from a solid stock and midwestern breedin’, the band:

Andy “I got somethin in my front pocket for ya” (bass) brings the rockabilly feeling with his upright bass -that make men and women weep in the presence of its awesomeness- and slapping skills.

Bennett “Benny Lava” (vox/guitar) brings the folk with his red hair and Irish background. Well…he grew up in Wisconsin but the red hair really sums him up.

Lee, “The zombie McGee”, (guitar) pulls out all the stops with his solos and non-stop rockin’ skills. He riff licks lick riffs tunes that will stick in your head like a ravenous earworm. 

Chad “McChadderson”, (drums) the man with the plan and newest addition to the Urge  rips the skins to bits with his wicked beats comparable to none!
